Saubermacher production plants

Saubermacher is pursuing its Zero Waste vision and working hard on the recycling of materials and energy from waste. We boast a range of highly specialised and state-of-the-art processing plants, some of which operate proprietary methods. All for the benefit of the environment and our customers. The following is a snapshot of our flagship plants:

Graz Anlage

Graz

High-tech sorting plant

Meticulous preparatory work for optimal recycling. The only automatic plastic packaging sorting plant in Styria sends more than 80% of treated waste back into an environmentally-friendly materials cycle. It’s true 'Zero Waste’ closed-loop circulation.

Bremerhaven Redux Batterie Recycling

Bremerhaven

Redux battery recycling

The plant is capable of processing all types of lithium-ion batteries and has an annual capacity of 10,000 tonnes. By employing an innovative recycling process, REDUX can achieve
recycling rates that are as much as 40% above the legal targets.

Retznei (Austria)

Production of
substitute fuel

High-energy waste is processed into high-quality alternative fuels, representing a real milestone in waste processing. Our subsidiary company ThermoTeam helps to save around 120,000 tonnes of CO2 per year and provides an alternative to some 79,000 tonnes of coal.

Anlage Premstätten

Premstätten (Austria)

Physical/
biological plant

The plant treats around 20,000 tonnes of waste water every year. Using innovative processes, the plant treats waste water and returns it to the natural water cycle, a flagship plant in Europe.

Havlickuv Brod Recyclinganlage für Kühlgeräte

Havlickuv Brod (Czech Republic)

Recycling plant for refrigeration appliances

Dismantling of disused refrigerators, freezers, etc. With a recycling rate of 96%, the core task of refrigeration demanufacturing is near-complete recycling and professional elimination of polluting CFCs.

Kidricevo

Chemical/
physical plant

The recycling centre in Kidricevo is a state-of-the-art facility that can process and refine up to 51,000 tonnes of hazardous waste every year. Hazardous materials including acids, alkaline materials, oils, workshop waste and paint sludge are stored in an area of some 8100 m2, where they are then processed and, where possible, turned into useful materials for reuse.
